So the band has chosen a name, and I'm not sure if I'm a fan of it or not. Our bassist is HUGE into the band pixies and wanted to have a name that reminded him of them/honored them? I can't remember his reasoning, but he wanted to call the band 'Harpies'...
Everyone else likes it. I think it's kinda off, but what the hell. As long as I'm playing music I'm unbelievably happy.
Also, I'm looking for new tunes to get into. I haven't changed the lineup on my ipod in years.
In other news, Brett Favre might go to the vikings, which will make me die. DIE. I don't even want to think about it, because I'll start weeping.
Then, my all time favorite baseball player, Manny Ramirez, just got suspended for failing a drug test. They haven't released the drug yet, and I'm just praying it isn't steroids. Actually, I'm praying it's just an error, because I can't lose 2 heroes in one week. That's just too much.

It's not that I don't value our friendship... I'm just not good at being a friend. I don't like prying into other people's lives and getting really personal details. I find it horribly awkward. I still can't figure out why people freely give that kind of info to me. I suppose it does feel pretty good to get it out... but that's why we have relatively anonymous blogs and personal journals, right?
My friendships are all cosmetic and shallow.
I don't feel like that is such a horrible thing.
